Hi! We’re Rebecca and Ethan, the people behind Traveling with Sunscreen. We’ve traveled to 60+ countries over the past fifteen years, some on our own, some with friends, some together, and some with our young children. We like to travel slowly when we can, spending as much time as possible in a given place to really get to know it.
We use this blog to share what we’ve learned from our trips. We started this site back in 2019, and we’re proud that it’s still up and growing today!

We recommend products we actually use when traveling. Some items are purchased by us; others are provided as free samples. When a post contains affiliate links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader.
Affiliate relationships do not affect our opinions. We do not recommend products we would not use ourselves, and we are comfortable including drawbacks when they are relevant. The products we recommend on the blog are the exact same ones that we recommend to friends and family who are planning trips.
How we review products
- We focus on real travel performance: durability, comfort, packability, ease of use, style, and value.
- Many reviews include initial impressions after the first few weeks of use, followed by updates after additional trips.
- If a product does not hold up as expected, we update the review and may remove the recommendation
